Gameday Preview Bits - 4.18.2013

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

It's Gameday here in Ottawa as the Sens get ready to take on the Southeast Division leading Washington Capitals. With just two hours remaining before puck drop, let's get you caught up to speed on the news of the day facing the Senators and Capitals.

Follow me.

Up top we have the usual Gameday Goodie, this time featuring Milan Michalek. They discuss, among other things, his 0.5 fights per game since returning from injury, the finger twirl celebration after setting a new career high in goals against Washington and his overall recovery.

Next up is Gord Wilson's Game Preview. This game will be an interesting one for the Sens. Not just because the season is winding down, but because they could end up facing these same Caps in a couple weeks come playoff time. I know they're not thinking about that scenario, but tonight will be a good measuring stick for those of us who can afford to look ahead.

Paul MacLean had his usual pregame availability and discussed what the Sens will have to do to come away victorious tonight.

Sens TV also spoke with Jakob Silfverberg who broke down what the team has in store for them come puck drop.
