Gameday Preview Bits - 4.11.2013

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

We're closing in on puck drop in Philly and with that it's time to get you caught up on the news of the day.

The team is looking to put a five game losing streak behind them and two points tonight would be a big step for the Sens who are hoping to lock down a playoff spot sooner rather than later.

Up top we have Marc Methot who stars in today's Gameday Goodie. Marc recounts his first ever goal as a member of the Sens, talks about a filthy spin-o-rama move he pulled on Daniel Alfredsson in practice today and also touches on losing a skate blade in Tuesday's game at Tampa Bay. Good stuff from him as always.

Next up we have Gord Wilson's Game Preview. Tonight's game could be a big two points for the Sens as they face a struggling Flyers team that has given up eight goals over their last two contests. The Sens have consistently gotten more shots and chances than their opponents during this slump and could finally break the door down against Philly tonight.

Coach MacLean had his usual media availability today and touched on lineup changes, the Pageau call-up and the Flyers matchup.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau also spoke to the media for the first time as a member of the Senators about his forthcoming NHL debut.
