The Sens are in Brooklyn tonight set to face the Islanders and we've got 5 things to help you get ready for puck drop.
A couple of updates from this morning...
- Dion Phaneuf left last night's game after the third period and didn't make the trip to New York. No timeline yet on how long he'll be out of action.
- Chris Neil, who missed last night's game because of the flu, will be absent from the line-up again tonight for the same reason.
- Frederik Claesson has been recalled from Binghamton to fill Phaneuf's spot in the line-up.
Here's a look at the Sens projected line-up for tonight...
As noted above, Andrew Hammond gets the start in goal for the Sens tonight. The Hamburglar was perfect in his last outing, stopping all 30 shots he faced against the Canadiens this past Saturday. Hammond has actually been great in his past 4 starts dating back to the beginning of the month, compiling a save percentage of .948 and a goals against average of 1.73. Craig Anderson backs him up tonight.
At the other end, it's expected that Jean-Francois Berube will start in goal for the Islanders.
3. Last meeting
These two teams last faced off back on January 22nd, 2016 in Ottawa where the visiting Islanders scored three unanswered in the third period to earn a 5-2 win. Bobby Ryan and Erik Karlsson provided the offence for the Sens while Andrew Hammond made 29 saves in defeat.
