The work continues at Canadian Tire Centre this summer. While there are crews working daily inside on the new Club Bell, construction crews from Senators’ partners Tomlinson and Cavanagh have been hard at work repaving many of the lots outside of the building.
As part of the repaving efforts, Lots 2, 4, 5 and 7 have been completely resurfaced, while Lot 1 and Lot 9 are currently in progress. The Valet Lot is scheduled to be repaved later in August, while improvements to Lot 6 are underway during the summer. Lot 3 was repaved last year.
In total, more than 25,000 tons of asphalt will be used to resurface the parking lots since the summer of 2014.
These repaving efforts follow last year’s infrastructure changes at Canadian Tire Centre which helped to improve fan ingress and egress as well as the overall parking experience for patrons coming for Senators games and other events. In addition, new digital payment technology was installed in all parking lots, which has enabled fans the added convenience to pay by cash, debit or major credit card.
