QUOTES
I want to try to stay. I'm here, I'm playing with these guys and I want to show that I can play in the NHL. The management is here watching so why not prove myself and show how good I am at this tournament. My goal is to play with the Senators. The only thing that I can do is just play the best that I can every shift. I don't want to leave here feeling disappointed that I didn't give it 100%.
I've just got to focus on myself, play my game and do what I'm best at. I'm not going to focus on other guys or where they might be slotting players, that's just going to get in your own head. Focus on your own game and play as hard as you can every game. I want to play hard in the corners, win battle, block shots, be responsible defensively but I like to get pucks to the net. I worked on a lots of tips this summer because I play a lot in front of the net and I was fortunate enough to get a tip goal tonight.
It was a little sloppy but I watched the game before and it was the same thing. It's to be expected in the first game and the ice is really choppy since there are teams on it all day so hopefully the ice will get a little better for tomorrow and the guys will start ironing out the kinks. The resiliency was there and I really liked that.
