by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today recalled goaltender Brian Elliott from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators to join the club for tonight’s game against the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Place.

In his lone appearance with the Senators this pre-season, Elliott appeared for 28 minutes, stopping 14 of 15 shots, while being credited with the win in Ottawa’s 5-4 victory over Washington on Sept. 20.

Elliott was assigned to the Binghamton roster on Sept. 25. In his pre-season appearance with Binghamton, he stopped 33 of 38 shots in a 5-3 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday.

The 22-year-old Elliott enters his first full professional season after enjoying a decorated National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) goaltending career at the University of Wisconsin. Elliott had played in 86 games over his four-year college career (85 starts), recording a 51-27-6 record, a 1.78 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
