by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators today recalled centre Cody Bass from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Bass was first called up on Nov. 19, recording five penalty minutes in four games. He was returned to the AHL following Ottawa’s 4-2 loss against the New York Islanders on Saturday, Nov. 29 to play with the Binghamton Senators in their 5-3 victory Sunday over Hamilton Bulldogs at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

The 21-year-old began the 2008-09 season with the Senators and was a healthy scratch for two games before being assigned to Binghamton on Oct. 7. In 17 games with the B-Sens, Bass has scored once and added one assist, while recording 39 penalty minutes.

Bass was Ottawa’s first fourth-round pick, 95th overall, in the 2003 NHL entry draft.
