OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators assigned goaltender Mike Brodeur to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

The 26-year-old native of Calgary split one pre-season game with Brian Elliott. In the Senators’ 2-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Sept. 16, Brodeur allowed one goal on 10 shots in the last 26 minutes of the game.

The Senators camp roster is now comprised of 26 players: two goaltenders, eight defencemen and 16 forwards.

The Senators’ last pre-season game is Friday, Sept. 25, when they host the Boston Bruins. Ottawa has two wins and three losses in five pre-season games.

The B-Sens have two pre-season games remaining, with their next meeting on Friday, Sept. 25, against the Syracuse Crunch at the Oswego State Campus Ice Center in Oswego, N.Y. Their last game is at home on Saturday, Sept. 26, against the Crunch. Binghamton won its first two games against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
