Created in partnership with the two minor hockey governing bodies in the national capital region – the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) and Hockey Outaouais – Minor Hockey Week will feature programs and initiatives to highlight teams, associations, coaches, players and volunteers in a week-long salute to the national capital region’s minor hockey communities.7th Annual Tim Hortons Coaches Clinic
Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Senators kick off Minor Hockey Week presented by Scotiabank with the seventh annual Tim Hortons Coaches Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Scotiabank Place. Held free of charge for all classifications of coaches, the clinic will feature an introductory address by Senators head coach Cory Clouston (at 8:05 a.m.), followed by individual sessions relating to skating techniques, shooting and scoring and small area games. Senators goaltending coach Eli Wilson will also make a guest appearance to share some of his experience and knowledge about hockey’s last line of defence.
The clinic concludes with an opportunity for all coaches to remain in their seats to observe Clouston and his staff as they put Senators players through their paces in advance of Saturday evening’s game against New Jersey. The clinic is expected to attract more than 700 area coaches, which would bring the seven-year total to greater than 5,000 participants.ODMHA Specialty Coaches Clinics
Thursday, Nov. 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In conjunction with the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association and Scotiabank, the Senators will host two specialty coaches clinics at Scotiabank Place on Thursday, Nov. 12.
5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. - Fine points of stickhandling, passing and receiving.
6 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. - Angling and bodychecking.

Along with the Binghamton Senators home game at Scotiabank Place on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m., each Senators game at Scotiabank Place during Minor Hockey Week (Nov. 7 vs. New Jersey, Nov. 10 vs. Edmonton and Nov. 14 vs. New York Rangers) will feature the prevalent minor hockey theme. Scotiabank Skaters will lead the Senators and B-Sens on to the ice, while minor hockey players from the ODMHA and Hockey Outaouais will line up with the home team for the national anthems. Each game will also feature a minor hockey intermission while the ODMHA and Hockey Outaouais’ volunteer of the year will be recognized during the Nov. 7 and Nov. 10 games, respectively.
