by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

Details include exclusive toll-free phone number, hosts, guests

OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Senators Foundation announced today details for its third annual Roger's House Telethon presented by Home Hardware. Most notable this year are two exclusive toll-free phone numbers 1-877-78-ROGER (76437) and #SENS (7367) on any Bell Mobility cellular telephone. The telethon will be held in support of Roger's House on Tuesday, March 21, in conjunction with the Rogers Sportsnet's broadcast of the Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins game that evening.

"We are very pleased with the lineup we have for the telethon," says Dave Ready, president of the Ottawa Senators Foundation. "We've secured toll-free phone numbers that are already live and will continue to be until the end of the telethon. We also have some terrific hosts in Rob Faulds of Rogers Sportsnet and Leanne Cusack of CTV Ottawa. It will be a great evening to enjoy NHL hockey, remember Roger Neilson and look ahead to Roger's House, which will be an incredible facility in this community."

Roger's House will open in May of this year, providing pediatric palliative care with the objective of enhancing the comfort and quality of life for children and their families living with a life-limiting illness. The house will be operated by the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and is located on their grounds.

Ready noted the community's response to the Roger's House initiative continues. "Many local groups, schools, businesses and individuals have expressed their support for Roger's House as well as donating their time," Ready says. "Many of them will be our guests during the telethon. We are almost there."
