Rob Minter

Senior Vice President of Business Operations

Rob Minter is entering his second full season with the Sabres. He was named Buffalo’s senior vice president of business operations after serving as the team’s interim chief operating officer from October 2023 to March 2024.

Prior to joining the Sabres, Minter served as vice president of business operations with the Rochester Americans beginning in December of 2017. There, he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the Rochester Americans, Rochester Knighthawks and Blue Cross Arena. Under his leadership, the Amerks were the recipients of eight excellence awards for the 2022-23 season, most notably the AHL’s Eastern Conference winner for Digital Media Excellence as well as the Ticket Sales Department of the Year.

Minter joined the Amerks following three years as the director of premium seating for the National Football League’s New Orleans Saints and the National Basketball Association’s New Orleans Pelicans. In New Orleans, his role focused primarily on organizing and managing sales and focusing on retention of premium products for both franchises.

Additionally, Minter spent time in various roles within the Cleveland Cavaliers’ business development department, including overseeing all ticketing operations for the organization’s NBA D-League team, the Canton Charge, and the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League. He began his full-time career in sports as a sales consultant for the Monsters from 2008 to 2010 before serving as the team’s inside sales manager for the 2010-11 season.

Minter is a native of Virginia and a 2007 graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. He currently resides in Pittsford with his wife, Lauren, and their two sons, Connor and Patrick.
