2025-26 REGULAR-SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:  

  • Ranked in the top 10 among all NHL defensemen in goals (19, 7th), assists (55, 6th), points (74, 6th), even-strength goals (13, T-7th) and even-strength points (52, 4th). 

  • Posted new single-season career highs in points, even-strength points and plus/minus (plus-18). 

  • Broke his own franchise record (46 in 2024-25) for even-strength points by a defenseman and finished the season ranked fourth among all NHL defensemen in that category. 

  • Moved past Bill Hajt (223) and Mike Ramsey (254) and into second place on Buffalo’s all-time list for even-strength points by a defenseman (266). 

  • Passed Mike Ramsey (59) and gained sole possession of second place on Buffalo’s all-time list for even-strength goals by a defenseman (68). 

  • Moved past Jason Pominville (304), Don Luce (310), Rick Martin (313) and Rene Robert (330) on Buffalo’s all-time assists list and gained sole possession of fifth place in franchise history (332). 

  • Appeared in 77 games and finished the season ranked sixth on Buffalo’s all-time list for games played by a defenseman (586), three shy of Richard Smehlik (589 games played) for fifth place. 

  • Per NHL Stats, became the third-fastest Swedish defenseman to reach 300 assists in their career (539 games played). Only Borje Salming (469 games played) and Erik Karlsson (502 games played) reached that mark faster.

  • Represented Sweden at the 2026 Winter Olympics, led all Swedish defensemen in points (5) and finished tied for first in assists (4) and goals (1). 

  • Scored the first goal of the game on five occasions, tied for the third-most among all NHL defensemen in 2025-26. 

  • Recorded an assist on April 6 vs. Tampa Bay and reached the 70-point mark for the second time in his career (73 points in 2022-23). 

  • Tallied his 100th NHL goal on March 28 vs. Seattle and became the second Sabres defenseman all-time to do so (Housley, 178 goals). 

  • Matched the longest assist streak of his career from Jan. 27 to Feb. 5 (six games; 3+8). 

  • Recorded the first hat trick of his NHL career and became the second Sabres defenseman all-time to reach 400 points with Buffalo (Phil Housley, 558 points) on Jan. 27 at Toronto. 

  • Collected two assists on Jan. 31, 2025 vs. Nashville to pass Mike Ramsey and gained sole possession of second place on Buffalo’s all-time list for assists by a defenseman. 

  • Became just the ninth Sabres skater all-time and the second defenseman in franchise history to reach 300 assists with Buffalo on Dec. 18 vs. Philadelphia. 

  • Became the third Sabres defenseman in franchise history to record 30 or more power-play goals on Dec. 20 vs. NY Islanders. Moved into second place all-time among Sabres defensemen all-time (34) and he trails only Housley (61) in that category. 

  • Recorded the 50th multi-assist performance of his career on Oct. 15 vs. Ottawa (0+2). Has recorded 62 multi-assist performances in his career and trails only Housley (77) for the most by a defenseman in franchise history.
