Hockey viewers in the United States can tune in to the NHL Network on Sunday night for the final of the Memorial Cup tournament, the championship of junior hockey.
The Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, the host team in the tournament, will face the Saint John Sea Dogs, champions of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, in a game that gets under way at 7 p.m. ET.
The Sea Dogs qualified for the final by going 2-1-0 in round-robin play, including a 4-3 win against the Majors in the tournament opener. The Majors beat the Kootenay Ice 3-1 on Friday night in the semifinal to advance to the championship game.
Majors forward Gregg Sutch
was selected by the Sabres in the fifth round (143rd overall) of last year’s NHL Entry Draft. Although the 6-foot-2, 201-pound right wing has been held without a point in the tournament, he has appeared in all four Memorial Cup games for the Majors.
