The Buffalo Sabres announced today they have partnered with the American Heart Association to support American Heart Month on Friday, March 5. All fans attending that night’s game against Philadelphia are encouraged to wear red in honor of the “Go Red For Women” movement.

For a $10 donation, fans attending the game will have an opportunity to embrace American Heart Month by putting a red hair extension in their hair. This will take place on the east wing of the pavilion through the second intermission.

The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement honors women who have been impacted by heart disease, stroke and all cardiovascular diseases by encouraging them to know their numbers and be aware of warning signs. Fans can visit a table set up in the HSBC Arena concourse to find out more information, and receive their “Go Red For Women” sticker. Sabres coaches and employees will all be wearing the Go Red dress pin. Sabres goaltender Patrick Lalime is the honorary spokesman for this event.
