    On Saturday night, Pirates goalie Jonas Enroth returned from the Buffalo Sabres and made 22 saves on 24 shots in the Pirates 2-1 loss in Manchester to the Monarchs.
  • Pirates head coach Kevin Dineen is three wins away from breaking the team’s franchise record for number of overall career coaching victories. Currently, Barry Trotz, current head coach of the Nashville Predators holds the Pirates all-time record for number of overall career coaching wins with 189.  
  • Only four Pirates players have played in all 63 games this season (Zagrapan, Darche, Fretter and Kostka)
  • The Pirates are 9-1-0-0 when leading after the first period.

Pirates defenseman Marek Zagrapan is the Pirates Player of the Week and the team’s nomination for the AHL Player of the Week. This is the first time this season that Zagrapan has earned the honor. The 22 year-old, notched 1 point (1 goal, 0 assists) this week during the Pirates only game this week.

On Saturday night, Zagrapan captured his 6th goal of the season in the Pirates 2-1 loss on the road to the Manchester Monarchs.
