LARRY QUINN AND DARCY REGIER PRESS CONFERENCE RECAP
/ Buffalo Sabres
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Sabres managing partner Larry Quinn and general manager Darcy Regier answered questions regarding the departure of co-captains Chris Drury and Daniel Briere via free agency at a press conference held in HSBC Arena on Monday.
Both players agreed to long term contracts with other Eastern Conference teams on July 1. Briere signed an eight-year deal with Philadelphia, while Drury will skate for the New York Rangers next season. Drury's deal is for five years.
Both Quinn and Regier stated that the Sabres were willing to match any offer to Drury, but were not given the opportunity.
