Buffalo Sabres fans, you won’t have to wait much longer for hockey to return.

The Sabres will play their first home game of the 2014-15 regular season against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, Oct. 9 at First Niagara Center.

Buffalo will travel to Chicago for the Blackhawks' home opener on Saturday, Oct. 11.

The complete schedule will be released on Sunday, June 22 at 4 p.m.

In the meantime, don’t miss our Draft Party on June 27 to see whom the Sabres will select with the second-overall pick. Doors open at 6 p.m. Both parking and admission are free.

Also, the Sabres will host their annual development camp at First Niagara Center from July 14-18. The camp will feature approximately 40 Sabres prospects, including the team’s 2014 NHL Draft picks, all of whom are scheduled to participate in camp.

A preliminary development camp roster will be available in early July.

In addition to the Blue & Gold scrimmage, this year will mark the debut of a 3-on-3 tournament.
