The Buffalo Sabres have announced that once again this season, the team’s game-day morning skates at HSBC Arena will be open to the public. Buffalo’s morning skate will run from 10-10:45 a.m. Fans will not be allowed to remain in the building to watch the visiting team.

Buffalo opens the 2009-10 NHL season on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. Game time is 7 p.m., with 500 tickets still available. The pre-game festivities get underway at 5 p.m. outside HSBC Arena, in the Plaza area located near Perry and Illinois St. Fans can enjoy live music from Strictly Hip, with food and drink available for purchase. There is a three beer limit per person. The party will take place rain or shine with free admission, as a game ticket will not be required for entrance to the party.
