DETROIT -- The Red Wings and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve are teaming up to help thousands of underprivileged children in Southeastern Michigan so they may have a brighter holiday, with the 'Toys for Tots' collection November 22 and 24 at Joe Louis Arena. Doors open at 6 p.m. for both games, which start at 7:30 p.m.
Fans attending Detroit's home games on those nights against the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys (please no stuffed animals) to collection bins at Joe Louis Arena. The toys will then be distributed to needy children in Southeastern Michigan.
Each donor will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Red Wings' merchandise autographed by Kris Draper. One winner will be announced at each of the games and must be present to win.
