Warmth with Wings

by Staff Writer / Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings, DTE Energy, The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) are joining forces to help Michigan families stay warm this winter. As part of a week long series of events, DTE Energy, THAW and the Wings are hosting Warmth with Wings at the Red Wings’ Saturday, November 12 face-off against the Dallas Stars.

You can show your support in several ways:
  • At the game, be sure to enter the 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW). THAW is an independent, non-profit agency that assists low-income seniors and families, the disabled and the working poor with emergency energy assistance.
  • Visit the DTE Energy and THAW tables in the Joe Louis Arena concourse. Get energy saving info that will help you save energy and save money in your home. Let your warm heart warm a home of someone in need by making a donation to THAW. Sign up to win a Red Wings jersey, too!
  • Text the word THAW to 50555 to make a $10 instant donation, or make a donation online for any amount.
Warmth with Wings is one of a series of Week of Warmth events. Our goal is to fill the gap left by significant cuts to state and federal energy assistance budgets, by raising money and distributing more than $1 million in emergency assistance to Michigan residents in need.

DTE Energy, THAW, the Ford Motor Company Fund and more than 40 area businesses and hundreds of individuals like you throughout the metro Detroit area are coming together to support this effort.

We are neighbors helping neighbors. Together we can make a difference.
