DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings will welcome the Minnesota Wild to Joe Louis Arena this evening (puck drop – 7:30 p.m.) on the opening night of a six-game home stand that will feature several exciting matchups as well as giveaways and promotions galore. A complete overview of the Red Wings’ impending home stand can be found below:

TUESDAY, November 1, 7:30 p.m. vs. Minnesota Wild
Detroit will be looking to avenge last Saturday night’s 1-0 road loss to the Wild in the final game of the first home-and-home series of 2011-12 for the Red Wings. As part of a season-long promotion designated ‘Two-Fer Tuesdays’, fans will be able to purchase two hot dogs for $5 at this game, with a home-and-away combo Red Wings t-shirt pack available for only $20.
THURSDAY, November 3, 7:30 p.m. vs. Calgary Flames
The first 7,500 fans in attendance for this ‘Bobblehead Thursday’ contest will receive a free Henrik Zetterberg bobblehead compliments of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), home of the Red Wings’ team doctors. Five (5) of the bobbleheads given away at this game will be brandished with a distinct marking on the inside of the box lid. Fans receiving these specially-marked bobbleheads will win a post-game meet-and-greet with Zetterberg outside of the Red Wings’ locker room.
As part of the 19th annual Motor City Mitten Madness promotion, fans are also encouraged to bring clean, new or gently-used winter clothing articles such as gloves, mittens, scarves, socks, hats and blankets to Joe Louis Arena for this game. All items collected this weekend by volunteers from the DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital’s Burn Center will be distributed to Detroit area shelters and warming centers to help prevent frostbite among the homeless.
Also at Thursday’s intraconference clash, NHL Officiating Manager Dave Baker will present off-ice officials Phil Blain and Len Paquette with a commemorative watch in recognition of their 25 years of service to the league during a pre-game ceremony.
SATURDAY, November 5, 7:00 p.m. vs. Anaheim Ducks
All fans in attendance for this game will receive a free Red Wings 2011-12 wall calendar featuring all the current Detroit players and coaches compliments of Fox Sports Detroit.
The 19th annual Motor City Mitten Madness will also conclude at this game. Fans that make a monetary donation or donate new or gently-used winter gear, including mittens and coats, at any of the entrances at Joe Louis Arena on this night will be entered to win a game-used, autographed Tomas Holmstrom stick.
TUESDAY, November 8, 7:30 p.m. vs. Colorado Avalanche
This edition of ‘Two-Fer Tuesdays’ will again feature two hot dogs for the low price of $5 as well as a pair of toque/beanie hats for just $20. A full color guard will also be on hand this evening to assist the Red Wings on ‘Law Enforcement Appreciation Night’, during which a ring of honor paying tribute to police agencies from throughout the state of Michigan will be formed.
FRIDAY, November 11, 7:30 p.m. vs. Edmonton Oilers
The Red Wings will honor the brave men and women of the American and Canadian armed services during this special Veteran’s/Remembrance Day game as all fans in attendance will receive a dog tag featuring the U.S. and Canadian flags.  Furthermore, all fans on hand for this Western Conference ‘Fathead Friday’ battle will receive a complimentary Darren Helm Fathead Tradeable courtesy of Quicken Loans and 97.1 The Ticket.
Fans will also be able to watch a work of art in progress as renowned painter David Arrigo begins working on his latest Red Wings mural on the JLA concourse next Friday. This live mural experience painting will feature goaltender Jimmy Howard donning his special RAM mask.
SATURDAY, November 12, 7:30 p.m. vs. Dallas Stars
Citizens of Hockeytown will be able to keep warm in style this winter as the Red Wings and Carhartt will be distributing co-branded orange winter hats to the first 15,000 fans in attendance for this game. DTE Energy will also present Warmth With Wings on this night, a partnership with The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) to raise energy assistance funds for low-income families and to help all Michigan residents learn how to save energy and save money.   THAW will be the partner and beneficiary of the Red Wings 50-50 raffle during the game and DTE will provide energy saving information to fans at tables on the concourse.
