Red Wings donuts return this weekend

DETROIT -- The Red Wings and Tim Hortons restaurants will celebrate the one-year anniversary of their dynamic marketing partnership this coming Valentine’s Day weekend by once again offering the citizens of Hockeytown the opportunity to support a noble charity and express their admiration for the NHL’s most successful American-based franchise while also enjoying a delicious menu selection from one of the continent’s leading baked goods retailers.

From Friday, Feb. 11 through Monday, Feb. 14 (Valentine’s Day), participating Tim Hortons locations throughout Michigan will be making the "I Love the Red Wings" donut available to customers for only 85-cents apiece. Proceeds from sales of the heart-shaped, red-and-white sprinkle-garnished pastries will benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.
Sales from the ‘I Love the Red Wings’ donut at select Tim Hortons locations in Metro Detroit raised more than $10,000 for the Detroit Red Wings Foundation during the unique menu item’s inaugural run in February of 2010.
