DETROIT – When the goal lights go on behind their respective nets at Joe Louis Arena, it’s a DTE Energy Light the Lamp goal. It’s a fun and entertaining way to raise awareness of energy efficiency.
“Our partnership with the Detroit Red Wings on the Light the Lamp program is a great way to share the importance of energy efficiency with our customers,” said Vicki Campbell, DTE Energy Director of Energy Efficiency. “And at DTE Energy, we believe that saving energy and saving money are messages everyone can rally around."
DTE Energy has conducted several promotions around the Light the Lamp program, including a contest earlier this month that helped promote their new Lighting Guide tool that takes a comprehensive look at modern lighting, and gave fans a chance to win suite tickets to the Sunday, March 30 game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The first 5,000 fans will also get a free Light the Lamp t-shirt as part of the festivities and everyone will learn how to save money on their energy bill with trivia games and tips being showcased throughout the game. DTE Energy Efficiency experts will be on hand in the concourse to talk with fans.
Light the Lamp is a continuing partnership, based on raising energy awareness through fan-based initiatives. For more information on DTE Energy’s Lighting Guide and other products and services visit DTEEnergy.com/SaveEnergy.
