Rangers' right wing Theoren Fleury will make the seventh All-Star game appearance of his career after being selected as a starter for the North American squad at the 2001 NHL All-Star Game. The 51ST NHL All-Star Game presented by Nortel Networks will be played in Denver Sunday, Feb. 4, (2:30 p.m. ET, ABC, CBC, SRC), when the top players representing the United States and Canada will face the NHL’s best from the rest of the world. The remaining players on the North America All-Star Team roster, to be selected by the NHL’s Hockey Operations Department, will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 16, with the remaining players on the World All-Stars roster to be announced on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

The NHL All-Star Game is the centerpiece of NHL All-Star Weekend presented by Nortel Networks, which also includes the Conoco/NHL All-Star Practice, Heroes of Hockey Game and Dodge/NHL SuperSkills Competition on Saturday, Feb. 3, plus NHL All Star FANtasy, the interactive hockey theme park that gives fans an opportunity to enjoy the experience of an NHL All-Star event. NHL All-Star FANtasy runs from Jan. 31- Feb. 3 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

Wendy's NHL All-Star Vote 2001 provided fans the opportunity to determine the starting lineups for the NHL All-Star Game, with all voters entered into a sweepstakes. Prizes include an all-new 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. This year marks Wendy’s third season as title sponsor of NHL All-Star Fan Balloting in the United States, with Dodge returning as presenting sponsor.
