Reunion Nights highlight busy February

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers
The Rangers continued the popular, season-long Subscriber Reunion Night events this past month with Reunion Nights held on Feb. 5 and Feb. 18.

Light refreshments were served, and subscribers were given a chance to meet some of their favorite Rangers players from the past, which is always a treat for both the subscribers themselves and the Rangers Alumni. Subscribers get an opportunity to speak with these former players and question them about their playing days.

Alumni welcome the chance to reminisce and reconnect with their fans. Along with a question and answer segment and some Rangers trivia, the Alumni meet-and-greets give the Reunion Nights a special feel.

On Feb. 5, Pierre Larouche, Rod Gilbert, Glenn Anderson and Brian Mullen participated in the first reunion night of the New Year. Hosted by MSG's own Scott Laskey, the event took place in The Theater Lobby at Madison Square Garden before the Rangers vs. Red Wings game. At one of the largest Reunion Nights to date, subscribers were treated to some excitement as they listened to the announcement and the former Rangers players' views on the Sean Avery trade moments after it was made.

Rangers Alumni at the Feb. 18 gathering included Gilbert, Ron Greschner, Ron Duguay, and Nick Fotiu. The event took on a more intimate feel as it was held in the Club Bar and Grill at Madison Square Garden. Subscribers filled the restaurant as they listened intently as the Rangers Alumni talked about about their fondest memories from their playing days. At the end of the night, a few lucky subscribers were treated to a seat upgrade for the game.

More Reunion Nights are planned for subscribers of various tenure lengths, so keep an eye out for your e-mail invitation to one of these exclusive subscriber events. Please note that due to the size of the subscription base, events will continue into next season until all subscribers have had the opportunity to attend.
