Rangers to Go Retro vs. Bruins, Canucks

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

The New York Rangers will be turning back the clock when they take to the ice for four upcoming games in their NHL Vintage Hockey jerseys. The Blueshirts will be donning their 1976-77 uniforms featuring the Rangers traditional shield on the front (right).

Other clubs participating in the program are the Boston Bruins (1967-68); Los Angeles Kings (1980-81); Montreal Canadiens (1958-59); St. Louis Blues (1979-80); and Vancouver Canucks (1972-73).

"The Vintage Hockey Program commemorates hockey's rich, 87-year history," said Ed Horne, president of NHL Enterprises. "The program involves the entire hockey family on and off the ice. Players and fans alike will have the chance to wear authentic jerseys and vintage fashion apparel as well as participate in Vintage Hockey-themed activities such as 'turn-back-the-clock' contests and promotions."
