Gaborik, Brashear, Girardi, Staal Discuss the Event Watch

Members of the New York Rangers joined alumnus and honorary chairman Adam Graves for the 14th Annual Family Dynamics fundraising event on Wednesday, November 19th at MSG’s Play-by-Play restaurant.

Donald Brashear, Marian Gaborik, Dan Girardi, and Marc Staal attended on behalf of the Rangers and shared a fun-filled night with kids from the Family Dynamics program. The kids were given the opportunity to play numerous interactive games and hockey related activities with their favorite Rangers. The children were playing floor hockey side-by-side with the current Rangers and also spent time having fun jamming on Rock Band and being  their real life heroes on NHL video games.

Rangers defensemen Dan Girardi and Marc Staal played a game of floor hockey with kids attending the annual Family Dynamics fundraiser.
“It’s an honor to be here supporting Family Dynamics and Garden of Dreams at this event that Adam has been a part of for so long,” said Girardi.  “I’m having a good time with the kids. It’s great to be here to continue this tradition.”

Every child attending also had a chance to receive each player's autograph and speak to the players one-on-one.

Graves, who has been a driving force in growing the annual Family Dynamics event, was once again recognized for his long standing commitment to Family Dynamics.

"For the most part, I'm trying to have as much fun as I can,” said Graves. “I am as much a kid as everyone else. Tonight we are just trying to deliver the uniqueness of the Rangers experience to these children at Family Dynamics.  Show them an evening of fun that they will not forget and hopefully raise some money for Family Dynamics while we’re at it.”

The event closed with a live auction of Ranger items, including a suite to a game, a Zamboni Ride and autographed memorabilia from Girardi, Staal, Graves, as well as Henrik Lundqvist and alumni Rod Gilbert.

“It was great to be here with the fans who support us day in and day out,” Brashear said.  “It’s nice to have the opportunity to support them and have some fun with the children as well.”
