24 Active Players Remain on New York Roster
New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has reassigned two players from their training camp roster to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL); forward Jarkko Immonen and defenseman Joe Rullier. The Rangers now have 24 players remaining in training camp, including two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 14 forwards. The Rangers finished their exhibition schedule with a 2-3-1 record after beating the New Jersey Devils last night, 3-2. New York opens its 2005-06 regular season schedule on Wednesday, October 5 in Philadelphia. The Rangers home opener is slated for Thursday, October 6 vs. the Montreal Canadiens at 7:00 PM.
