PHOTO: Prince Albert left wing Dane Byers tallied a key goal in the Raiders 3-2 OT win over Saskatoon on Wednesday in WHL Quarterfinals action. The win completed a four-game series sweep for Prince Albert.

Kootenay (Dawes) 3, Kamloops 2
Series tied, 2-2
The Kootenay Ice scored a 3-2 win over the Kamloops Blazers in Game Four of their WHL Quarterfinals series on Wednesday. With the victory, Kootenay and Kamloops are tied at two games apiece. Ice captain Nigel Dawes was held scoreless on the night. He has posted four points (two goals, two assists) in the four matches. The two teams meet again on Friday, April 1 in Game Five.

Red Deer 1, Medicine Hat (Psurny) 6
Series tied, 2-2
After dropping a 3-2 OT decision on Tuesday, the Medicine Hat Tigers rebounded with a strong 6-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Game Four of their WHL Quarterfinals series. The best-of-seven series is now tied at 2-2. Tigers forward Roman Psurny collected a pair of assists in the win, his first points of the series.

Portland (Dubinsky) 2, Everett (Baranka) 3
Everett leads series, 3-1
After dropping the first game of their WHL Quarterfinals series to Portland, the Everett Silvertips have taken the last three meetings, including Wednesday's 3-2 win, and are now one victory from advancing to the next round. Everett's Ivan Baranka was held off the scoresheet in the win, while Portland's Brandon Dubinsky collected an assist in defeat. Dubinsky has netted three goals and two assists in the four games thus far. The Silvertips look to close out the series when the two teams meet again on Friday, April 1 in Game Five.

Tri-City (Jonasen) 2, Seattle 3
Seattle leads series, 3-0
The Seattle Thunderbirds moved one game closer to a four-game sweep over the Tri-City Americans on Wednesday with a 3-2 win in Game Three of their WHL Quarterfinals series. Amerks captain Marcus Jonasen was held scoreless on the night and has posted two assists in three games. The two teams meet again in Game Four on Friday, April 1.

Prince Albert (Byers, Kozak) 3, Saskatoon (Bahensky) 2 - OT
Prince Albert wins series, 4-0
The Prince Albert Raiders completed a four-game sweep over the Saskatoon Blades with an exciting 3-2 OT win on Wednesday in Game Four of their WHL Quarterfinals series on Wednesday. Raiders forward Dane Byers tallied a goal in the win. Byers registered four points (one goal, three assists) and six penalty minutes in the four game set, while Rick Kozak posted two goals and 10 penalty minutes in the series. Blades forward Zdenek Bahensky was held scoreless for the fourth straight game in the loss. Prince Albert will await the winner of the Brandon-Moose Jaw series.

QMJHL:

Lewiston wins series, 4-0
The Lewiston MAINEiacs completed a four-game sweep of the Shawinigan Cataractes in their first round QMJHL series with a 3-2 OT victory on Wednesday. Lewiston defenseman Jonathan Paiement was held scoreless in the victory and recorded five points (one goal, four assists) and eight penalty minutes in the four games. The MAINEiacs now await the winner of the Gatineau-Cape Breton series.

After dropping the first two games of their QMJHL first round series with Moncton, Drummondville has rebounded with two straight wins, including Wednesday's 3-1 victory. Moncton's Bruce Graham was held scoreless in the loss and has posted two assists and seven penalty minutes in four games. The two teams meet again on Saturday, April 2 in Moncton for Game Five.
