AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE:

Manchester 5, Hartford 1
Manchester took control of the race for the Atlantic Division title as Dustin Brown recorded a goal and two assists and the Monarchs cruised to a 5-1 win over Hartford at the Civic Center. The loss leaves the Pack six points behind the Monarchs with three games remaining in the regular season. Jamie Lundmark tallied the lone goal for Hartford, while Jason LaBarbera and Steve Valiquette split time between the pipes in defeat. The two teams combined for 242 penalty minutes.

WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE:
WHL Semifinals Bracket >>

Medicine Hat (Psurny) 1, Prince Albert (Byers, Kozak) 2,
Series tied, 2-2
The Prince Albert Raiders captured their second straight win in as many nights as they edged the Medicine Hat Tigers, 2-1, on Wednesday in Game Four of their WHL Semifinals series. The best-of-seven series is now knotted at two games apiece with Game Five slated for Friday, April 15. Raiders forward Rick Kozak posted a goal, four penalty minutes and second star of the game honors in the win, while teammate Dane Byers added two penalty minutes on the night. Tigers forward Roman Psurny registered two penalty minutes in the loss.

Ottawa leads series, 3-1
In Ottawa, Chris Hulit and Julian Talbot each had a goal and two assists to pace the 67's to a 5-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves on Wednesday. The 67's lead the Eastern Conference series 3-1 with Game 5 scheduled for Friday, April 15 in Sudbury. Ottawa forward Jakub Petruzalek posted two penalty minutes in the win.

The Moncton Wildcats scored a 4-1 home win over Rouyn-Noranda on Wednesday to even their QMJHL Second Round series at 2-2. The two teams are back in action on Friday, April 15 for Game Five. Moncton forward Bruce Graham tallied a goal and two penalty minutes in the win.

The Lewiston MAINEiacs saw their 2004-05 season come to an end on Wednesday as the Rimouski Oceanic completed a four-game sweep in their Second Round series with a 5-1 win in Lewiston. Junior phenom Sidney Crosby torched the MAINEiacs for four points (one goal, three assists) in the win. Lewiston defenseman Jonathan Paiement posted six penalty minutes to conclude a solid season.
