On Wednesday evening, Rangers fans descended on The Pond at Bryant Park in droves for an opportunity to skate with four members of the 2006-07 Blueshirts.
The event, now in its second year, was in no way dampened by the rainy weather in New York, as more than 700 fans turned out on the eve of Thanksgiving.
Petr Prucha, Ryan Hollweg, Jed Ortmeyer and Adam Hall skated with fans, posed for pictures and signed autographs for the enthusiastic crowd.
"It was so much fun," said 19-year old Kira Riley. "I was supposed to go home for Thanksgiving this morning, but I changed my plans and it was totally worth it!"
The players were also thrilled to be a part of this special event.
"It's great," said Hollweg. "They come out to support us every night, so it's great to have the chance to spend some time with them."
In addition to interacting with the players, fans had the opportunity to answer trivia questions with a chance to win autographed pucks, Rangers paraphernalia and other assorted prizes.
There are two more events involving the Rangers this season at The Pond Bryant Park. The Rangers Annual Holiday Toy Drive is scheduled for Dec. 6, and the second annual Rangers/MSG Viewing Party will also take place on a yet to be determined date.
