by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

The Hartford Wolf Pack have recalled forward Dwight Helminen (photo - right) from the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. Helminen will join the team in Utah this evening for the Pack's game against the Grizzlies.

Helminen has collected two goals and six assists for eight points, along with 10 penalty minutes in 34 AHL games with Hartford this season, his first professional campaign. He has also recorded 14 points (five goals, nine assists) and six penalty minutes in 20 ECHL games with the Checkers.

The AHL announced yesterday that Dominic Moore has been suspended for two games as a result of his actions in the club's March 5 game versus San Antonio. Moore will sit out tonight's game, as well as the Pack's home game versus Bridgeport this coming Friday.

Tickets for the Wolf Pack's game versus the Sound Tigers are still available. It's game nine of ten in the GEICO Connecticut Cup series. The Pack could clinche the cup with a win. It's Guida's Family Value Night - a family of four can purchase a package for as low as $44 and receive tickets to the game, refreshments and a Wolf Pack souvenir ... call 548-2000 for more information.
