NYR Prospects in Postseason: April 22 Recap

Two Rangers prospects competed in postseason play on Saturday in the OHL and WHL playoffs. Here is a player-by-player look at their performances:

April 22: Barrie 5, Peterborough 2 (at Barrie)

Petruzalek scored two power-play goals, including the game-winner, as Barrie stormed back in Game 2 to even their Eastern Conference Finals series with the Petes. His first goal, at 5:26 of the second period, gave the Colts a 2-1 lead, and his second, at 18:17 of middle period, put the Barrie ahead for good by snapping a 2-2 tie.

April 22: Moose Jaw 4, Medicine Hat 3 (OT) (at Medicine Hat)

Psurny was held without a point for the second consecutive night as the Tigers lost again to the Warriors at home when Moose Jaw's Dustin Boyd scored just 48 seconds into overtime. Medicine Hat, the WHL regular-season champion, is now down 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
