The NYR ladies kicked off the holiday season with a visit to NYU Tisch Hospital, a charity partner of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Hockey Executives’ wives, Ann Sather, Theresa Schoenfeld and Sara Adamson made their way to NYU Tisch Hospital with goodie bags filled with Rangers and Garden of Dreams items to spread holiday cheer.

On behalf of the New York Rangers and Garden of Dreams Foundation, the ladies visited patients’ rooms and the playroom to distribute goodie bags, complete a Thanksgiving art project and take photos.
Kevin arrived just in time for the special Rangers’ visit and upon receiving his goodie bag from Theresa, he shouted excitedly when he saw his Rangers water bottle. “This is such a special day for me. I enjoyed spending time with the children and doing something entertaining. I had just as much fun as they did today,” said Theresa Schoenfeld.
Pete was so thrilled to do his art project with one of the Rangers ladies that he jumped on his bed, to his mother’s fright. Ann Sather, wife to NY Rangers General Manager Glen Sather, eagerly worked with Pete on his art creation, a colorful handprint turkey.
“It is sad that these children have to be in the hospital at all, but especially during the holidays. If we can bring a smile to their faces even for a moment, it makes us very happy,” said Ann Sather.
Throughout the visit, the ladies met several Rangers fans which brought much excitement to many bedsides. Some families were not versed in hockey, but they welcomed the surprise visits and short reprieve from the hospital routine. Sara Adamson stated, “something as simple as a hug can help a child during their toughest hospital stay. I am so proud to be a part of the Rangers’ giving back to the community.”
One of the Garden of Dreams' charity partners, the NYU Tisch Hospital is a world-renowned center for the care of children with neurosurgical, cardiovascular, maxillofacial, and genetic disorders.
