NYR, GDF brighten day at Ronald McDonald House

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

On Saturday, January 9, the New York Rangers and Garden of Dreams Foundation along with members of the Rangers wives and significant others group held a special viewing party for children and families at the Ronald McDonald House of New York.

Children at the Viewing Party were treated to some hockey instruction, as well as the Rangers-Penguins game on a big-screen TV.
The wives and significant others interacted with the children in attendance, taking pictures and playing various games. They also conducted a small hockey demonstration and watched the Rangers face the Boston Bruins on a big screen TV with the children.

The kids also took part in an arts and crafts session, while lunch was served and Rangers gift bags, popcorn and cotton candy were distributed to all. There were also special blue and red cupcakes for all the children and their families to enjoy.

All the action took place in the facility’s playroom, which also features a special arcade room dedicated to Rangers’ great, Brian Leetch. This arcade room will soon be updated will the help of the Rangers.

The Ronald McDonald House of New York is supported in part by the Rangers and a partnership with the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works closely with the Rangers and all areas of Madison Square Garden to "make dreams come true for kids in crisis."
