To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks, the National Hockey League has teamed up with Hon. Rudolph W. Giuliani, 107th Mayor of the City of New York, to auction 23 NHL team jerseys bearing his signature. The jerseys also have been signed by other members of the Giuliani Administration directly involved with the post-attack recovery and rescue efforts, including former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik and former Fire Department Commissioner Thomas Von Essen. All proceeds from the sale of the jerseys benefit the Twin Towers Fund.
