MSG Network Announces "Play It Up!" Schedule for December

MSG Network's "Play It Up!" began its third season on MSG Network this fall, airing Saturdays at 10:00AM. The show is part of the "MSG for Kids" Saturday morning programming block that airs weekly from 9:00 - 10:30AM. December episodes will feature players from the New York Knicks and New York Rangers.
Play It Up! produced exclusively for MSG Network by Phoenix Communications, is a 30-minute show that focuses behind-the-scenes at Madison Square Garden and its various sports properties. The program offers young fans an inside look at the Knicks and Rangers. Each episode of Play It Up! includes instructional tips, question and answer sessions with players, workout formats, features on life as a professional athlete, contests, and glimpses at rarely seen locations throughout the Garden complex.
In December, the following features will be telecast:
Dec. 4 John Wallace (NY Knicks) Dec. 11Chris Childs and Charlie Ward (NY Knicks) Dec. 18Marcus Camby (NY Knicks) Dec. 25 Best of the Rangers
The final show of the season will be telecast on January 1, 2000 and will feature the Best of the Knicks.
Play It Up!, nominated for a 1998 New York Emmy Award in the category of "Outstanding Programming for Young People," uses quick-paced action and eye-catching graphics to attract kids to the teams in a new, personal approach. The program is hosted by Howie Ravikoff and Lisa Mollick. Ravikoff has appeared on "Saturday Night Live" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and has hosted episodes of the show "No, Really" on the Discovery Channel. Mollick has played the role of 'Gail' in Horizon Pictures "Full Court Press" and has appeared in daytime soap operas "All My Children" and "As The World Turns."
Soccer Zone and PE.TV make up the remainder of the "MSG For Kids" programming lineup that is geared towards kids ages 6 to 14.
