by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

Hanover, N.H. -- Dartmouth sophomore forward and Rangers 2003 first round draft choice Hugh Jessiman (Darien, Conn.) was named the ECAC Co-Player of the Week for the week ending November 24, 2003. This is the first weekly honor for Jessiman this season.

Jessiman earned the Co-Player of the Week award after a pair of multiple-point games against Yale and Princeton this past weekend. He scored four goals and assisted on two others for a season-best six point weekend. His four goals and five assists on Friday night tied his career high for both categories.

Against Yale, Jessiman recorded a natural hat trick in the second period and added an additional goal late in the game. Against Princeton he notched an assist on Dartmouth's sixth and final goal.

Jessiman leads the team with nine points (five goals, four assists) in seven games this season.

The 6-5, 218-pounder was named ECAC Rookie of the Year for 2002-03, leading Dartmouth with 23 goals and ranking second on the team with 47 points in 34 games.

Currently Dartmouth is 4-0-3 and is the only undefeated team left in Division I. The Big Green will take on Boston College on Tuesday, November 25 (7:00 PM ET) and Boston University on Friday, November 28 (7:00 PM ET).
