Graves to give kids their first taste of skating

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers
An afternoon on the ice with Rangers legend Adam Graves is an experience kids are sure to remember for years to come.
Want your child to learn the basics of ice skating while enjoying that memorable first skating experience alongside a Rangers legend?

Limited space is available for Rangers fans and their children to join Adam Graves and the Rangers Hockey Development Team on Sunday, Dec. 14, from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Madison Square Garden Training Center.

The session is open to ages 10 & younger and is the perfect opportunity for a child to get on the ice and learn the basics of skating from Graves, the Blueshirts' Youth Hockey Ambassador. Skaters with little or no experience are welcome.

The program will focus on teaching basic skating and hockey skills for the first hour of the session. Parents are then encouraged to lace up their own skates and join their children for the final half hour for an open skate.

The session costs $99 and includes:

•    90 minutes of ice time at the Official Practice Facility of the New York Rangers
•    One Rangers practice jersey for the child participant
•    One Gift Bag, including autographed Graves photo card
•    One hour of skating instruction for child participant from Noon-1 p.m.
•    30 minutes of open skate for the child participant and one parent/guardian from 1-1:30 p.m.
