Graves Event to Support Youngster's Cancer Battle

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers
New York Rangers forward Adam Graves will sign autographs on Saturday, February 19 at a fundraiser in support of Julianne Borsella, a seven year-old Pelham, N.Y. girl who is battling cancer.

The event will be held at the sports collectible store, ONE IF BY CARDS, TWO IF BY COMICS, in Scarsdale, N.Y. from 3pm-5pm. Public participation is encouraged via a $15 donation per autograph, 100% of which will be presented by Adam Graves to “The Danny Fund,” created to assist the Borsella family with medical and related expenses not covered by insurance. The February 19 fundraiser is one of a number of grass-roots events being organized to meet the large financial need ahead.

In early November, Julianne was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer of the bone and soft tissue. She is presently in week 12 of 30 weeks of chemotherapy treatment at New York City’s Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Surgery to remove the tumor is planned for late February or early March.

Julianne and her older sister & brother are avid Ranger fans who watch most games. “Our family is most grateful to Adam Graves for his kind gesture of support,” said Julianne’s father, Anthony. “He has helped lift her spirits at a time when she needs it most, and we thank everyone for their continued prayers and thoughts.”

ONE IF BY CARDS, TWO IF BY COMICS is located at 1107 Central Avenue in Scarsdale, New York (Four miles north of Major Deegan - Exit 5). For further information, call (914) 725-2225.
