Matthew Barnaby's favorite team is, of course, the New York Rangers. But there is another New York team that ranks a close second with the Blueshirt winger - the New York Jets. Earlier today, Barnaby had the chance to get his taste of football, J-E-T-S style.
Barnaby and a host of other local celebrities and New York media personalities participated in the annual New York Jets Green vs. Gray Media/Celebrity football game at the team's training complex at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
Playing mostly at tight end and linebacker, Barnaby contributed a touchdown to the Gray squad's total.
Prior to the game, the winger toured the team's facility and had the opportunity to chat with some of Gang Green. Barnaby also spent some time with Jets head coach Herm Edwards.
Although living in Buffalo Bills territory during the off-season, Barnaby has been a Jets fan since childhood.
"Today was a lot of fun, especially since I grew up a big Jets fan," he said. "I think Coach Edwards was impressed with me, although I don't expect an invitation to camp anytime soon," he joked.
