Here in Music City, we all know Shea Weber as the goal-scoring, shot-blocking, minute-munching Captain of the Nashville Predators. Let's face it, anyone that can shoot a puck at over 100 miles per hour deserves to be held in high regard throughout the hockey world.
But it wasn't always like that for the Sicamous, British Columbia native.
Weber was never drafted into the Western Hockey League to play juniors, which could have greatly altered his path to the NHL. But the Kelowna Rockets took a chance on the young defenseman. They didn't regret their decision.
