Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the club has recalled defenseman Mikko Lehtonen (MEE-koh LEHT-oh-nehn) from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Lehtonen, 28 (6/12/78), played four games with the Admirals last week after being reassigned to Milwaukee. The 6-1, 194-pound blueliner, playing his first season in North America, has posted two points (1g-1a) in six games with Milwaukee and one goal and two assists (1g-2a-3pts) in 15 contests with Nashville this season. He was originally Nashvilles ninth choice, 271st overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Nashville (22-8-3) takes on the Chicago Blackhawks (14-13-5) on Wednesday night at the United Center. The Predators return to the Gaylord Entertainment on Thursday night to take on the Buffalo Sabres (24-6-2). Nashville will finish off the month of December with four of five games on home ice.
