Nashville, Tenn. (April 7, 2009) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned rookie forward Patric Hornqvist to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League. Hornqvist was in Nashville on emergency recall, and the return of Ryan Jones to the Predators lineup on Tuesday night required the club to make a roster move.
Hornqvist, 22 (1/1/87) has seven points (2g-5a) in 28 games with the Predators this season, with all of his points amassed during his first stint with the club from Oct. 10-Nov. 20. In his latest recall, the third of the season, March 18-April 7, he was pointless in eight contests.
The Predators travel to Detroit on Thursday night for the first of a two-game road trip to close out the 2008-09 season. Faceoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CDT, and the game will be televised on FS Tennessee in addition to being broadcast on the Predators flagship radio station –WGFX-104.5 FM The Zone.
