Nashville, Tenn. (July 14, 2009) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has agreed to terms with restricted free agent Ryan Maki. The one-year, two-way contract is worth $500,000 on the NHL level and $52,500 on the AHL level.

Maki, 24 (4/23/85), posted 25 points (12g-13a) in his second professional season with Milwaukee (AHL) in 2008-09, scoring 10 more goals (12) and racking up 10 more assists (13) than as a rookie in 2007-08. The Medford, N.J., native led the 2008-09 Admirals in plus/minus rating (+14), and appeared in all 11 of the club’s 2009 Calder Cup Playoff games.

Nashville's fifth choice, 176th overall (sixth round), in 2005 Entry Draft, the 6-2, 202-pound right wing was also Milwaukee’s (AHL) nominee for the AHL’s 2008-09 Yanick Dupre Memorial Award (Man of the Year).
