Nashville, Tenn. (September 8, 2015) – Nashville Predators Training Camp will open with physicals and a team meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, with the team’s first day on the ice coming Friday, Sept. 18 at 9:35 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex. A complete training camp roster and schedule is attached. Dates, times and roster are subject to change.
The Predators’ three-week camp marks the start of the 2015-16 season, and is highlighted by six preseason games, the first two coming after just two days on the ice when the Florida Panthers come to town for a doubleheader on Sept. 20 (3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.). The Preds will then play the defending Eastern Conference Champion Tampa Bay Lightning twice in a 24-hour span, Sept. 22 at Tampa Bay (6:30 p.m. CT) and Sept. 23 in Nashville (7 p.m.), then round out their exhibition slate by hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sept. 29 at Bridgestone Arena (7 p.m.), then traveling to Ohio’s capital on Oct. 3 (6 p.m.).
All training camp sessions – with the exception of morning skates on Sept. 23 and 29, and a 2 p.m. scrimmage coinciding with the annual Skate of the Union at Ford Ice Center on Sept. 26 – will be held at Centennial Sportsplex.
Fifty-seven players will attend 2015 Training Camp – 46 players under contract with Nashville, five on American Hockey League contracts with Milwaukee, one on a tryout agreement and five unsigned draft picks. Thirty-one are forwards, 20 are defensemen and six are goaltenders.
