Latest Teacher of the Month honored

by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators have named Adam Bush of Guild Elementary School the Predators Teacher of the Month for December. "He is the epitome of what administrators look for in teachers," writes Guild Elementary's principal, Lance Taylor, while praising Mr. Bush's vast contributions as a music instructor.

On Thursday, Jan. 26, GNASH and Predators staff showed up at Guild Elementary School to surprise Mr. Bush while he was teaching class. He was equally as shocked as he was proud as GNASH burst in and started giving high fives. Mr. Bush was a guest at the Predators game on Feb. 2 vs. Colorado.

The Predators Teacher of the Month program selects teachers based upon the principal's portrayal of how this teacher has impacted students, school faculty and others around them. The Predators will target a different county in the greater Nashville area each month. Applications will be distributed by the Predators to the principals.

The selected teachers will be rewarded by a surprise visit from the Predators mascot GNASH. The organization will also present a certificate and a Predators gift basket to the teacher. In addition, the Teacher of the Month will be featured on our Web site and at a game that they will attend.
