The Nashville Predators are set to help support one of their own in the Middle Tennessee Hockey Community, and you can too.
On Sept. 2 and 3, Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville will host a fundraiser for the Mielnik Family, part of the Nashville Junior Predators youth hockey organization. Mitchell Mielnik, who played for the Junior Preds, passed away on June 30. He was 16 years old.
Funds collected over the two days will go directly to support the family with medical expenses incurred during Mitchell’s time in the hospital.
The Wednesday night show, hosted by Andrew Dorfman and featuring Reno Collier, will be a traditional comedy show, while Thursday night’s offering presents ‘Bumps, Bruises and Bedtime Stories,’ featuring former Preds players Stu Grimson, J-P Dumont, Jim McKenzie and special guests, telling tales of their time spent in the NHL. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and patrons ages 16 and older are welcome.
Tickets are $20, and auction items, including selections from the Predators, will also be available during the occasions.
