Bridgestone Arena Plays Host to Nine Events in Nine Days

by Jimi Russell / Nashville Predators

After spending 22 of the last 24 days away from the Music City, the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena are gearing up for one of the most active stretches in the arena’s history. Beginning on Friday night, Bridgestone Arena will play host to nine events in a nine-day span, including four Preds games and five concerts.

Here is a breakdown of what you can take in at Bridgestone Arena:

On Friday, Nov. 22, Bridgestone Arena will play host to one of the most special nights in country music history, as more than 100 performers come out to pay tribute to George Jones. Jones was scheduled to perform live for the final time in his illustrious career on Friday night, but his death in April 2013, the open performance date allows country music’s elite to pay tribute to the man they called “The Possum” and his 60-year career in music.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, the Nashville Predators return home to take on the New York Rangers. This marks just the eighth time the Rangers have come to the Music City, and their first trip since Nov. 27, 2010. The Predators hold a 7-7-2 record all-time against the Blueshirts. Bridgestone Arena’s change-over crew will stay busy as Rob Zombie and Korn and their "Night of the Living Dreads Tour" stop on Sunday, Nov. 24. The heavy metal legends have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide, debuted thirty-nine music videos and received two Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. Korn had twenty-eight singles reach the charts, where eleven have peaked in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Tickets are still available. Please visit for more information.

The Nashville Predators and Second Harvest Food Bank look to knock out hunger in Middle Tennessee on Monday, Nov. 25, before the Preds take on the Phoenix Coyotes. You can drop off non-perishable food items on the Bridgestone Arena plaza beginning at 6 a.m. and continuing through the night of that night’s game. Monday night will also be Military Monday, as the Nashville Predators and forward Matt Hendricks salute members of the United States military. The team will wear special military-themed jerseys, which will later be auctioned off to benefit Defending the Blue Line. For more information on Monday’s events or for tickets, click here.

Franklinites Paramore will grace the Bridgestone Arena stage on Tuesday, Nov. 26, with special guest Metric and Hellogoodbye, as they make their triumphant return to their hometown. Paramore's Bridgestone Arena stop is the second-to-last of their 26-city Self-Titled Tour run, so get your tickets now! For more information, please visit

On Wednesday night, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar will play Bridgestone Arena. West added the Bridgestone date just a couple weeks ago and tickets are still available. The Bridgestone appearance is Kanye’s first outing in Middle Tennessee since Bonnaroo in 2008. Please visit for more information.

Come work off Thanksgiving dinner with the Nashville Predators as they take on the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. Fans can expect special Thanksgiving-themed concession specials (turkey legs, pumpkin pie, etc.), special Thanksgiving coloring stations for kids at the Delta Dental Kids Zones and fun in-arena contests and videos. For more information and tickets, click here.

Kick off the Holiday season on Friday night, as The Story Tour visits Bridgestone Arena. Take a breathtaking journey through The Bible from Genesis to Revelation with a unique multimedia experience! For more information, visit

Finally, the Nashville Predators wrap up the whirlwind nine-day span as they host the Broadstreet Bullies on Broadway. The Philadelphia Flyers make just their eighth trip ever to Bridgestone Arena and first since a certain "issue" two summers ago. Limited tickets are still available!

All of this excitement comes on the heels of the Country Music Association Awards and the arena’s nomination as the 2013 Pollstar Concert Industry Arena of the Year Award – the seventh consecutive nomination and 10th overall for the arena on Broadway.

Throughout the nine-day span, more than 100,000 people are expected enter Bridgestone Arena and partake in some of North America’s greatest music and sporting events. Don’t miss out… get your tickets today!
