15th Anniversary Reflections: Nashville Becomes a Hockey Town

In the 14 years since the Nashville Predators debuted, Bridgestone Arena has developed into one of the greatest home ice advantages in the NHL. The energy and atmosphere inside and outside the building on game days has carried over to team success. The Predators made the NHL playoffs this season, the team's seventh playoff appearance in the last eight seasons. And since the 2005-06 season, the Predators have won 181 games at Bridgestone Arena, tied for the second most home wins in the NHL over that span.

David Poile, President of Hockey Operations/General Manager
David Poile has been the General Manager of the Nashville Predators since the team's inception, with Bridgestone Arena being the only home the team has ever known.

Fact Of The Week:

  • The Nashville Predators sold out Bridgestone Arena a franchise-record 25 games during the 2011-12 regular season.
